A social empowerment volunteer journey. Yes, during my diploma studies, I volunteered at PT Limar. It wasn’t about the money, but rather learning how to transmit positive energy to the nation and state, benefiting others and progressing alongside our students’ progressive mindset. There, I was very grateful to be able to learn directly from Limar’s founder, Mr. Ujang Koswara, also known as kang UKO.

His name is familiar to Indonesians. Hundreds of thousands of lamps, created using his simple system, have illuminated thousands of homes in remote villages across Indonesia that lack PLN electricity.

To get to a village, we often have to travel on off-road roads like this.
The Limar lamp is a set of panel boxes containing five switches powered by a car battery, producing five LED lights installed in each corner of the house, which remains dark and unconnected to electricity.
During my time at Limar, in addition to participating in several Limar lamp installation activities, I participated in outreach sessions on the waste-fueled electricity-generating stove system.

I am gathering memories right now. I will tell you more stories about my volunteering later. Stay tune!
